The Story Republic are a team of talented, bright, engaging performers who create pop up performances at events and festivals. They perform on the street, in bandstands, on ferries and in fields, in galleries and cafes…
On behalf of Golowan, thank you so much for your performances in Morrab Gardens on Sunday. I heard so much positive feedback about you that I’m sure you would have been blushing had you known! “Entrancing”, “delightful”, “a revelation” “skilled”, “professional”, were just some of them. Festival organiser
The Story Republic have a repertoire of songs, poems and very short stories which are performed in 10-15 minute slots before they move on to other spaces. Some of their repertoire is familiar, other is newly commissioned. Much is from the work of Charles Causley and other Cornish writers.
Their captivating and uplifting sets have been programmed as part of over 50 Cornish events. You can also commission them to create something special or site specific.
They can cosy into the smallest of places as well as handle audiences in much larger spots!
Fees: From £400 for 4 Story Republic performers including expenses (plus travel and accommodation out of Cornwall).
We’re self-sufficient but may need support from organisers in finding the best gathering places.
No PA needed but we cannot compete against too much background noise or music.

Hi there, our school has recently updated our classroom names to authors and to help launch this, we would love to get in contact to see if you could help us!
I was thinking perhaps a short stint in each class maybe half hour? Perhaps based on different authors or maybe just a whole assembly looking at work from our class authors? Open to any ideas!
We are a junior school in Camborne comprised of 8 classes from Year 3-6.
We would be looking to do this sometime in September/October.
Thanks,
Alix
