‘A Sense of Place’
an online Nature Writing Masterclass with Anna Wilson
tickets £15 available here

At a time when the natural world is so vulnerable, it is hard to know where to find our place in it. We have become disconnected from our surroundings, living in increasingly urban settings that keep us cloistered from our natural environment. It is easy at times to feel alienated – as though Nature is something “other” that has nothing to do with our human existence. As writers – whether we write fiction or non-fiction – it is perhaps more important than ever to re-ground ourselves; to find a sense of place. We need to find ways of communicating setting and environment to our readers, to help them feel a new connection. In this masterclass, through reading, writing and discussing, we will go on a sensory exploration of setting together and discover new ways of communicating a sense of place to our readers.

This masterclass will be run via Zoom.
