Book Launch – Fox Fires WYL MENMUIR IN CONVERSATION WITH CATHY RENTZENBRINK

Date: 15th March 2021, Time: 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Location:

We all want book launches to return to their rightful home, in bookshops. However, until we can, once again, crowd into a small shelf-lined space, drink warm white wine and fight for nibbles, we invite you to join bestselling author, Cathy Rentzenbrink and Booker-longlisted novelist, Wyl Menmuir for an online evening of book talk to celebrate the launch of Wyl’s new novel, Fox Fires, which launches on 15 March.

As part of the evening, we’ll be airing the first showing of a rather special short film of 21 prominent authors reading from the opening chapter of Fox Fires and Wyl will be sharing the stories behind the novel, sharing his work and writing tips.

Fox Fires is a novel about a lost girl and a sprawling map of an unsettling city. Wren Lithgow has followed her concert pianist mother around the cities of Europe for almost two decades. When they arrive in the city-state of O, where Wren was conceived during a time of civil war, she resolves to find the man she believes is her father. It’s a novel about belonging and home, the things we choose to remember and those we’d rather forget, and a society coming out of a long lockdown (sound familiar?).

You bring the warm white wine, nibbles and your burning questions, we’ll bring insights into Wyl’s novel, launched on 15 March, and a chance to ask your questions live and in person online.

Book your FREE place here.

Hosted by The Writers’ Block, Cornwall.
