Megan is a spoken word artist and rapper based in Cornwall. Currently London’s Word4Word Slam Winner and last year’s Winner of Cornwall Contemporary Poetry Festival’s Poetry Slam, she has opened up festival stages including Glastonbury and Womad.
With a background in Youth and Community work, Meg is known for regular performances at Cornish gigs and literary events and delivers workshops across a range of settings, empowering individuals to find their voice and bring it forth onto the stage.
Where is it?
Online. These workshops will be run through Zoom, an easy to access online meeting program available on computers and phones.
When is it?
10.00am to 12.00pm, Saturday, 13th March
What happens?
Each session is full of discussion, short, fun exercises to get the creativity flowing and longer time to really get into your writing.
Who’s it for?
Any young writer. All you need is curiosity, a willingness to have a go and a notebook and pen. Then who knows what we’ll produce… We are creating a network of young writers to feed off one another, get their visions into words and hook into Cornwall’s rich cultural life.
