The Story Republic has created a pop up shop at 109 Kenwyn Street as part of Truro Festival from 4 – 19 April 2014.
The installation is the start of our 2014 programme and begins this year’s theme ‘Trading Tales’, looking at work, aspiration, inspiration, traditional trades and jobs of the future.
The shop contents have been designed and curated by our star artist team – John Keys, Amanda Lorens and Alessandra Ausenda and feature the beginning of a photography exhibition by Steve Tanner which celebrates writers in their writing spaces.
Activities include children’s workshops hosted by Royal Cornwall Museum with Beano cartoonist Nick Brennan and The Poetree Sally Crabtree, a young writer’s ‘Speakeasy’, and of course our word and poetry games in the shop.
Out and about in Truro you will find our team of performers, The Story Republicans, bringing songs and poems to the streets and luring you back to The Story Republic.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Story Republic.
