A group of pupils from St. Ives School recently joined us at The Writers’ Block. Here is a piece they created.
Glow, where did you get your white?
I stole it from the diamonds trapped in a newborn’s eye
Borrowed it from Neptune’s mystic azur as they gazed upon his beauty
Plucked it from the regal crest of the kingfisher perching on the pondweed
From the wings of a swan, the starry night, the puffed clouds and the crunchy snow.
Was there any left for you?
