Apply Now Young Writers Mentorship Programme 2026-27
Are you a writer aged 11-16 years? We have an incredible opportunity for you!
We are looking for young writers in any genre or form to be part of our mentoring programme and take your writing to the next level!
Six lucky applicants will receive FREE access to monthly creative writing workshops in Redruth, including masterclasses with published writers, 1-1 mentoring to develop your writing, and a chance to share and publish your work.
We will ask you about your ambitions as a writer, what genre you would like to develop and we’d also like to see a piece of your writing. Mentorship runs from September 2026 – July 2027. The link to the application form is below, please follow the prompts on it to apply.
Deadline for applications is 9am 20 July 2026.
The programme consists of 11 monthly creative writing workshops along with 1-1 creative writing mentoring and a chance to share your work. The dates of the sessions are below. You and your mentor will agree additional one to one meetings at a later date.
Successful mentees are expected to attend all of the 11 workshops, though of course we understand there may be unforeseen circumstances affecting attendance.

Workshops are led by writers Sarah Connors, Olivia Lowry and Casey Bottono, with each session focusing on a different theme, genre, or writing skill. Guest professional writers who specialise in a specific area of writing teach Masterclasses on their specialist topics such as gothic horror, poetry, journalism or writing for the screen.
Please note, this is a opportunity for young people who will be in secondary school in September. If you will be 11 but still in Primary School in September, please apply next year instead.
