Programmes

Our Writers Rooms provide mentoring and skills development for emerging writers in the South West. This programme consists of three days of workshops, led by a professional writer, focused on story gathering, working with communities, dedicated writing time, and creating meaningful creative outcomes.

Emerging Playwrights is our annual a three-day training programme for emerging playwrights in collaboration with The Minack Theatre. The programme provides hands-on training in narrative structure, character development, and crafting scenes for the stage.

The Story Republic are our team of talented, bright, engaging performers who create pop up performances at events and festivals. They have performed on ferries, in fields and at festivals as well as beaches, harbours and stately homes and castles.

Our young writers programme gives 11-16 year olds with a passion for creative writing, the opportunity to extend those skills through 1-1 mentoring, monthly workshops exploring different genres and masterclasses from professional writers.

The Writers’ Block offers creative writing workshops and programmes designed to inspire and support students of all abilities, from reluctant writers to those seeking to write at greater depth.

Our after-school and holiday clubs are designed to inspire a love of writing and creativity by incorporating craft, drama, and games into storytelling.
