The Writers’ Block Writers’ Rooms are each focused on a specific genre. These unique programs are designed to support emerging writers by pairing them with experienced professionals, providing a clear path for their work to reach audiences.

Our Mingled Selves – Writing our way into biodiversity on our doorstep

Led by John Wedgewood Clarke, Our Mingles Selves explored various approaches to prose and poetry that highlight the indivisible relationship between humanity and the local and global biodiversity that sustains us.

Writing for Children

The ‘Writing for Children’ Writers’ Room, led by children’s author Anna Wilson provided emerging writers with the opportunity to explore the nuances of writing for a younger audience.

Stories of Stuff

From Redruth to Liskeard to Devonport, Stories of Stuff captures stories of communities as well as providing mentoring for emerging writers in the art of story gathering.

Bedtime Stories for Grown Ups

Led by Annamaria Murphy and set in the inspiring environment of Bill’s Attic, emerging writers crafted short stories specifically designed for audio
