We are proud to have achieved Living Wage Employer accreditation! In a locality and sector where low wages and uncertain employment are common, we are committed to paying a wage that meets everyday needs.

We already ensure that our freelance rates meet best practice, and pay our writers and artists for planning, training and travel. Now with an expanded core team, it’s important that we make sure our contracted staff also have the same experience.

The Living Wage Foundation’s real Living Wage remains the only UK wage rate independently calculated based on the cost of living, rising annually based on living costs. for 2025-26 it is set at £13.45 per hour, considerably higher than the government minimum of £12.21
