Megan Chapman:

Megan Chapman AKA MCMC Spoken is a lyrical rhyming wizard. Her unique rhythmic style, and cutting content offers a mesmerising performance. Her poetic, and hip-hop delivery infused with beats strings and vocals is beautifully raw and captures humanity.

In 2022 she was a guest poet with live air play on radio 4, in which her creativity was shared.  She performs throughout Cornwall in venues such as The Eden Project. She has headlined literature festivals. Performed in cities across the UK and internationally. At festivals including Glastonbury and Womad. She has also had her poetry published. Most recently the band have warmed up the wonderful Dizraeli, and The Scribes. “Megan Chapman’s poetry is heartfelt and rhythmic. Playful and political, her Art is in the right place.” Anna Murphy, Kneehigh.

Nicki Foley and Sophie Meyer – Queer Kernow

Queer Kernow is a community interest company based in the heart of Cornwall. Our goal is to act as a conduit for LGBT history in our local area: partnering with local museums and archives to research this facet of Cornwall’s past and share the stories we uncover. We want to challenge intolerance through education and outreach, connect Cornwall’s current LGBTQ community with their past, and celebrate the rich, fascinating world of queer Cornish history — all the way from prehistory to the present day.

Sophie Meyer (She/her) is Founder and Director of Queer Kernow CIC, Engagement Lead at Cornwall Heritage Trust and is co-chair of Cornwall Pride. With a BA and MA in Archaeology and over a decade of experience working in heritage, Sophie brought together her heritage background with her lived experience as a neurodiverse queer woman. Sophie focuses her career on making history an equitable, engaging, and inclusive experience for all. Find Sophie on Twitter @queerkernow.

Nicki Foley (She/her) is Director and Co-Founder of Queer Kernow CIC. They have been working in heritage for over five years. They specialise in inclusivity and diversity for a wide range of audiences bringing communities together. Find her on Twitter @queerkernow.
