Writing YA Fiction with Emily Barr

This masterclass will cover the basics of writing Young Adult fiction, from how to grab your reader’s attention to what to do to make your writing stand out. We’ll be talking plot, character, setting and more. Above all, you will be doing some intensive writing, and by the end you might just have the start of that new novel.

Emily Barr is the author of seventeen published novels, including four YA thrillers, including The One Memory of Flora Banks, which was published in 27 countries. She lives in Truro with her husband and teenage children, and is currently writing a YA thriller, as well as her second horror novel.
